Where You'll Make a Difference- Perform physical field work and operate equipment through automated programs (DCS).
- Prepare fermentation and downstream equipment according to SOPs, including equipment setup, media make-up, equipment cleaning, packaging, etc.
- Collect samples during manufacturing for analytical analysis.
- Follow all steps for standard and evolutionary batch processes by following prescribed batch records, noting observations on production conditions within the batch with the area engineer.
- Collect and review all batch records, including in-process data input and trending.
- Coordinate day-to-day departmental activities, including manufacturing scheduling conflicts, coordinating equipment maintenance and installation activities, troubleshooting process upsets such as equipment and instrumentation issues, process optimization, and other production-related concerns.
- Maintain the upkeep of the Fermentation Plant equipment by initiating work notifications/work orders and maintenance scheduling; use your own tools to correct minor maintenance issues. This also includes assistance with maintenance activities such as rebuilding valves and working on pumps.
- Interface with Engineering, Maintenance, QAQC, and Site Leadership to solve production problems.
- Create and modify SOPs for new processes or operations as needed.
- Ensure production compliance with EH&S guidelines and requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least six months of manufacturing experience.
- Availability to rotate shifts.
- Adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Can work efficiently and effectively with minimal oversight.
- Computer experience with the MS Office suite.
- Willing and able to do moderate to heavy stair climbing, moderate climbing of vertical and mobile ladders, and work above floor surfaces and lift up to 55 lbs.
- Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, including a respirator.
- Ability to work 12‑hour rotating (days/nights) shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Annual Range salary:
From $65,000 to $75,000
