Overview
Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care by assessing patients, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support safe, high-quality outcomes. This role develops individualized care plans, educates patients and families, uses clinical expertise and critical thinking to promote patient safety, and participates in quality improvement and professional nursing practice initiatives.
Schedule & Location36 hours per week (night shift).

Mercyhealth Beloit, Beloit, WI.
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws practice act.
- Document according to standards of care.
- Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
- Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by physician or clinic policy including patient and family instruction.
- Participate in departmental or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units’ departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
- Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command.
- Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions, and peer review process.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred. Specific years of applicable experience may be required per department guidelines.
Certification & Licensure- Licensed as an RN in the state of practice.
- CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days.
- Other certifications as required by unit: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP.
