the role

As an RD&A Scientist specializing in snack seasonings, you will play a key role in strengthening Kerry’s position as a trusted partner in the snacking sector. With a strong track record in seasoning development and the ability to deliver under demanding customer expectations, you will collaborate closely with customers across the U.S. and Canada to create impactful, consumer‑driven solutions. This role requires strong cross‑functional teamwork, technical expertise, and creativity to bring innovative products to market.

responsibilities
  • Demonstrate the creativity, expertise, and passion needed to effectively showcase Kerry’s technologies and capabilities.
  • Apply a deep understanding of consumer trends
    , sensory science
    , and commercial insights to meet both customer and business expectations.
  • Develop innovative, cost‑effective, and relevant seasoning solutions according to customer briefs.
  • Proactively generate new product concepts that maximize customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including sales, marketing, operations, regulatory, sensory, and other RD&A experts to ensure successful and timely project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, becoming their primary technical contact and trusted solutions partner.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of system records, reports, and required documentation.
  • Support scale‑up and production activities, including participation in internal and external factory trials.
  • Take ownership of professional and technical development by engaging with RD&A leaders, academic partners, literature, trade shows, and industry conferences.
  • Demonstrate strong capability in recognizing and describing flavor profiles, offering reliable recommendations for formulation improvements.
  • Apply solid knowledge of dry blend and spray drying processing technologies in development and commercialization.
Qualifications and skills Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Process Engineering, Regulatory, Food Chemistry
    , or a related field.
Technical Experience
  • Must be able to taste and smell chemicals, flavors, and food products
    .
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately evaluate flavor performance and provide actionable formulation recommendations.
  • Applied knowledge of dry blend and spray drying processing technologies.
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross‑functional technical and commercial teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple fast‑moving projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, including customer interaction and presentation capabilities.

The pay range for this position is $70,100 - $122,000 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay‑for‑performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
