Senior Quality Manager – Welding/Fabrication
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year.
We are a growing manufacturing company in the construction industry looking for a Senior Quality Manager specializing in welding and fabrication processes.
Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 standards.Manage and control welding and fabrication processes to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.Utilize statistical analysis tools such as SPC and MSA to monitor, control, and improve product and process quality.Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and 6S methodologies to drive process improvements and reduce waste.Oversee production part approval process (PPAP) and advanced product quality planning (APQP) activities.Lead supplier quality management initiatives, including vendor development and performance monitoring.Conduct regular audits, inspections, and reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality initiatives and resolve quality issues.Provide training and guidance to team members on quality standards, tools, and methodologies.Manage and report on quality performance metrics to senior management.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role in manufacturing or construction industry.Proven experience in welding and fabrication processes, particularly with steel and sheet metal.In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including ISO 9001 and 9000.Expertise in statistical analysis tools and methodologies, including SPC, MSA, and Six Sigma.Experience in implementing Lean and 6S methodologies.Strong knowledge of PPAP and APQP processes.Experience in supplier quality management and vendor development.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.Pressure vessel experience would be ideal.Certification in Welding Inspection or quality management is an added advantage.Benefits
