Service Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Job Statement The Service Technician is a critical role here s position requires skills in welding, grinding, fabrication, and electrical, in order to efficiently repair tank trailers in a world-class manner. This position also requires mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting experience, and inspection and communication abilities. This is a fast-paced but rewarding work environment and will require accountability while working together in teams.

• Inspect and Evaluate a tank quickly and accurately.
• Diagnose and Troubleshoot material, mechanical, and electrical failures
• Develop and coordinate a project work scope, complete with a task and parts list
• Develop a project schedule, taking into consideration the tasks involved and the order in which these tasks need to be completed
• Manage a project to a schedule efficiently, having the ability to recover from delays is required
• Conduct routine and special inspections, as required. Understand systems, with the ability to trace systems and install and commission complex components (engines, pumps, motors, blowers)
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing components. Maintain schedule reports, repair logs, and other project documentation
• Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with internal customers and co-workers.

• Qualifications and Experience High school diploma, or equivalent Vocational training or
• technical associate degree is preferred A minimum of 3 years in
• manufacturing and service Experience working together in small teams
• Ability to drive Semi truck is a plus ASME certification is A plus
• Interpersonal, Leadership, Technical Skills Able to perform routine
• maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of
• maintenance is needed Able to troubleshoot, determining causes of
• operating errors and deciding what to do about it Able to identify
• complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate
• options and implement solutions Possess solid foundation of mechanical
• aptitude and ability Solid welding and assembly skills required Able to
• test tanks Possess knowledge of brakes, airlines and trailer electrical
• systems Possess basic hydraulic knowledge Must be able to work safety
• and comply with DOT regulations
