Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team in Belton, Missouri. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in financial processes and a keen attention to detail. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in overseeing and optimizing accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to verify the integrity of financial data.

- Prepare and post journal entries to document financial transactions consistently.

- Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure alignment with accounting standards.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and enhance efficiency.

- Analyze financial data to provide insights and support decision-making processes.

- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and company policies.

- Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.

- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.

- Support the implementation of best practices in accounting operations. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.

- Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger activities.

- Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliations.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.

- Commitment to maintaining accuracy and adhering to accounting standards.
