Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Temporary Maintenance Technician (10+ month contract & benefits eligibility)
IPSY is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Technician (10+ month contract) to oversee industrial equipment maintenance activities on day‑shift weekends (Friday through Monday, 0700‑1730/7am‑5:30pm). The position will:
1) address emergency maintenance issues across all work streams of operations to achieve scheduled daily production levels;
2) maintain on‑time completion of scheduled PMs (preventive maintenance); and
3) handle general WO (work order) requests, including repairs, modifications, and fabrication projects. The technician must be able to cover 1st and 2nd shifts as needed. This temporary 10‑month contract may extend. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is based onsite at the Belton, MO distribution center. See below for benefits information.
- Maintain performance of all industrial maintenance and repair work at the property as assigned.
- Complete work orders efficiently and courteously.
- Inspect the building regularly, including roofs and common areas.
- Ensure that job assignments and work orders are carried out promptly, efficiently, courteously, and in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain shop areas and storage in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure manner.
- Industrial maintenance experience is required (minimum 3 years of experience or an associate-level industrial maintenance education).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skill to work with minimal supervision within established procedures.
- Knowledge of industrial control wiring systems.
- Experience repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment—such as production machines and conveyor systems—according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance with exposure to machinery, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and understand written or oral instruction, technical data, blueprints, etc., and communicate effectively with others.
- Strong computer literacy, navigating browsers and researching repair procedures, and using web‑based systems for time and work management and record‑keeping.
- Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and obtain annual certifications.
- Sick camera and imaging systems experience.
- VFD programming and troubleshooting.
- PLC/Ladder logic experience in a warehouse sortation environment.
- Apprentice or higher electrical experience.

Salary Range: $28 USD – $29 USD
