Production Supervisor - 12 hour PM shift
Location: Belton, Missouri area.

Job SummaryOur manufacturer hires a Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing and continuous improvement activities for an assigned area and shift on the 12‑hour night shift (6 p.m.‑6 a.m.). Reporting to an Operations Manager, the supervisor supervises up to 20 direct reports and performs the duties listed below.
Responsibilities- Coordinating cross‑functional teams to maximize safety, quality, delivery, and cost initiatives.
- Meeting daily, weekly and monthly production requirements, metrics and goals.
- Training, coaching, mentoring and evaluating the hourly workforce.
- Identifying, initiating and maintaining process improvements, including efficiency improvements, scrap reductions and eliminating equipment downtime.
- Managing multiple project timelines simultaneously.
- Assisting with technical equipment issues as needed.
- Reviewing and scheduling material changes in the ERP system and making needed adjustments.
- Maintaining manpower goals by working with staffing services and human resources to attract and recruit talent.
- Working with planning and shipping, making adjustments when needed.
- Completing shift reports and communicating with incoming supervisors at shift change.
- Coordinating with the maintenance team for PM schedules and troubleshooting downtime.
- Determining root cause analysis and assisting with corrective actions.
- Communicating with management on the status of projects and production.
- Other duties as directed by management.
- Bachelor's degree required; ideally in a related field.
- 1–5 years of manufacturing supervision experience, depending on education.
- Experience overseeing production in high‑volume or mass‑production environments.
- Experience overseeing at least 15 individuals.
- Non‑union supervision experience.
- Experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in assigned manufacturing areas (e.g., scrap reductions, elimination of downtime).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Lean or Six Sigma certifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience working in consumer products manufacturing.
- ERP experience.
- Process‑oriented manufacturing.
- Experience working in automated environments.
