Assembly Technician
This role combines curtain assembly and spring operator assembly responsibilities within a production environment. You assemble roll-up door curtains by matching slat colors, installing nylon cord into profiles, and sliding slats together, while also assembling spring-loaded door operators by reading specification sheets, measuring and cutting materials, and building steel tube and spring components. You work with hand tools on a production line, follow detailed work instructions, and ensure each assembled product meets quality and accuracy standards.
Responsibilities- Assemble roll-up door curtains by accurately matching slat colors according to specifications.
- Install nylon cord into profiles and ensure it is properly seated and secured.
- Slide individual slats together to create complete door curtains with consistent alignment and fit.
- Assemble spring-loaded door operators by reading and interpreting specification sheets and work instructions.
- Measure and cut materials to precise lengths using basic measuring tools and equipment.
- Assemble steel tube and spring components to build complete door operator units.
- Use hand tools safely and effectively during all assembly tasks.
- Follow established assembly procedures and production processes to maintain consistency and quality.
- Inspect assembled components for accuracy, color consistency, and proper fit, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production.
- Stand for extended periods while performing repetitive assembly tasks on the production line.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or defects identified during assembly.
- High attention to detail, especially with color matching and visual consistency.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise assembly work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and assembly procedures accurately.
- Basic measuring skills to cut materials to required dimensions.
- Mechanical aptitude to understand how components fit and function together.
- Capability to stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.
- Experience using hand tools in an assembly or production environment.
- Prior manufacturing or assembly experience (preferred).
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly role.
- Familiarity with working on a production line or in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Comfort with reading specification sheets and basic technical documentation.
- Strong focus on quality and consistency in finished products.

JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belton, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
