Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Job Overview

You will serve as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reporting to the Plasma Center Manager. Your role supports daily plasma collection operations, ensures donor eligibility, and maintains compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

• Determine donor eligibility and manage informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements.
• Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and execute emergency SOPs, including standing orders and donor transport to medical facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues, providing guidance on donor safety and eligibility.
• Support employee vaccination programs for Hepatitis
  
  B and seasonal flu.
• Manage employee incidents, assess the need for occupational health evaluation, and follow EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, investigating local community pandemic threats.
• Assist with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives and follow Bio Life Medical Affairs guidance.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent; or graduate‑level nursing education meeting state requirements.
• Licensed or certified as LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Completed FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialists.
• Two or more years of clinical or hospital experience.
• Basic IV therapy skills as required by state licensure.

Hourly Wage Range: $24.32 – $33.44
