Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Job Summary

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Report to the Plasma Center Manager and support plasma center operations.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results, notifying donors of unsuitable results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, coordinating with the Center Physician and emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine need for further evaluation by occupational health or ER.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to local pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities are assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum of two years clinical or hospital experience.

Hourly wage: $24.32 - $33.44 U.S. (may vary by qualifications and location). U.S. employees may receive up to 80 hours of sick time and 120 hours of paid vacation per calendar year.
