The Belton School District is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the General Maintenance Technician. Past experience in a skilled trade, such as plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or a related field, is a plus.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
* Ability to operate hand and power tools and maintenance equipment safely.
* Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures for buildings and equipment.
* Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical ability to lift, move, and handle materials and equipment safely.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
* Valid driver's license preferred.
Working Conditions:
* Work performed indoors and outdoors, including exposure to weather conditions.
* May require working on ladders, scaffolding, or elevated surfaces.
* May involve heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
Reports To:
Assistant Facilities Director
Salary range: $18.81/hr - $27.11/hr+ full benefits. Based on 8 hours/day, 260 days per year.
