Customer Service Specialist (Onsite | TX)

Position Summary
The Customer Service Specialist serves as a key point of contact for customers, supporting order processing, communication, and issue resolution within a fast-paced, order-driven manufacturing environment. This role works closely with internal teams including sales, production, and shipping to ensure accurate order fulfillment and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries via phone and email
- Process and manage customer orders with accuracy using internal systems (ERP/CRM)
- Provide order updates, delivery timelines, and general product/service support
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, production, shipping) to meet customer requirements
- Identify and resolve customer issues; escalate complex concerns as needed
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and documentation
- Support the sales team with administrative follow-up and customer communication
- Meet service level expectations for response time, accuracy, and professionalism
- Contribute to process improvements within customer service workflows
- 2+ years of customer service or administrative experience in a professional environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability
- Experience in manufacturing, metals, industrial, or distribution environments
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for order entry and tracking
- Background supporting B2B customers
- Experience coordinating across internal departments such as operations, production, or logistics
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts
- Onsite role in TX
- Office-based with occasional exposure to a manufacturing environment
- Standard business hours with flexibility during peak production periods
- Must be able to follow all safety and PPE requirements when entering production areas
