The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian employees for this position.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Director of the Arts Academy, the Voice teacher provides instruction in Voice through private lessons and group classes. The Arts Academy Voice teacher will offer professional guidance and instruction to students of all ages and levels, and will teach with knowledge and expertise.
Work schedule will depend on the number of students assigned to each teacher, with primary teaching hours to be after school (2:00PM - 8:00PM) Monday through Friday. Some weekend special events/performances will be required.
Minimum Requirements:
* Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University's mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
* Minimum of undergraduate degree required and experience in Music and Vocal teaching and performing.
* Experience required in teaching Voice.
* Ability to teach all ages of Voice students, children through adults.
* Ability to relate personally to students and parents in a cordial and professional manner.
* Must demonstrate proficiency in vocal skills and ability.
* Experience in ensemble participation.
* Must be reliable and dependable in keeping lesson times and in communicating with students and parents when cancellations or changes in schedules must be made.
* Ability to organize and prioritize work and work independently as needed.
* Excellent time management skills necessary.
* Must agree to the University's Employee Statement of Understanding.
