Our Personal Bankers are personable, goal‑oriented, and passionate about helping customers improve their financial health. As a Personal Banker, you will gain insight into banking and finance while assisting customers with daily financial challenges. You will also receive training and support to further your career with Commerce Bank.

Hourly: $20.55 - $25.05 (based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies).

Full time – Monday to Friday 7:45AM – 5:45PM, rotating Saturdays 8:45AM – 12:15PM.

• Deliver an excellent customer experience in person and over the phone to meet customers’ financial needs.
• Actively listen to customers to uncover their financial needs and make appropriate product and service recommendations.
• Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions that improve financial wellness.
• Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to relevant bank specialists.
• Participate in the quarterly incentive program to earn additional compensation beyond base pay.
• Establish and maintain long‑lasting relationships with customers, coworkers, and internal departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Interact with customers both in person and over the phone to ensure their financial needs are met through needs‑based conversations and sales fulfillment.
• Make recommendations of products and services based on customer needs to achieve individual and team sales and service goals.
• Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to bank specialists when appropriate.

• Strong sales skills and ability to provide an excellent customer experience over the phone and in person.
• Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations.
• Motivated, organized self‑starter with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Adaptable to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook aligned with company culture and core values.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of sales or customer service experience required; experience in an environment with individual and team sales goals preferred.

Position may be filled as a Personal Banker I or II, depending on experience and education.

For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigative consumer report that will disclose credit history. Applicants considered for this position will be asked to authorize that report.
