The Assistant Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in delivering our mission and achieving our goals. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in managing the air conditioning and heating wholesale distribution process and facility with regard to employees, logistics, branch transfers and customer sales. You will be expected to pull and prepare transfers/orders to be shipped to branches/customers and ensuring that shipments are timely and correct via Century’s set transfer schedule, deliveries and shipping UPS/LTL.

• Coordinate warehouse activities with regard to the branches transfer needs and customer sales.
• Oversee all aspects of the warehouse including shipping, receiving and inter company transfers.
• Assist the Warehouse Manager with all vehicle delivery routes and drivers with regard to company policy, state/federal agency requirements.
• Assist the Warehouse Manager to meet the needs of other Branches/Customers.
• Oversee and assist the Warehouse Manager with all personnel related functions including recruiting and selection, disciplinary action, training, employee relations, payroll, and benefits, adhering to legal requirements, performance appraisals and terminations.
• Oversee inventory process with regard to company policy and goals.
• Work with other members of Management to ensure the overall performance of the company.

• At least 2 years in a supervisory position in a wholesale/distribution environment or other job-related disciplines.
• Supervisory and managerial skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Forklift Certified preferred.
• Good understanding of internal computer application and report writing.
• Ability to multi-task activities.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly.

• Must regularly: lift and/or move 50 lbs, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
• Must frequently: sit, climb or balance.
• Vision requirements include: close and peripheral vision.
