Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

Emergency Registered Nurse – Day Shift at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital – Temple, Texas.

Position Details

Full Time | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 36 Hours per Week.

Join one of the most respected Emergency Departments in Texas at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level I Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

Unit Highlights

Our Emergency Department provides care for a diverse patient population, primarily adults with occasional pediatric patients. Registered nurses are highly skilled in

Job Summary

As a registered nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.

  • Build relationships, manage discomfort, and stay professional to foster therapeutic connections with patients and families.

  • Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members. Empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.
  • Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
  • Use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
