Primoris Heavy Civil is looking for skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team in heavy highway construction for our Belton, TX location. If you have experience operating heavy machinery and are passionate about building the infrastructure that keeps communities connected, we want to hear from you!
Job DescriptionHeavy equipment operators will need to have experience operating equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, backhoes, GOMACO paving spreaders, and compactors in a safe and efficient manner.
General Requirements- Operators perform equipment inspections and may be required to perform daily maintenance of equipment (such as greasing/lubing).
- Previous Operator of construction equipment, or other related industrial experience preferred.
- Experience in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently in a team and safety focused environment.
- Mechanical inclination is an asset.
- Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
- Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time.
- Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts
- Location: industrial construction sites and/or fabrication shop
- Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site:
- Obstructed pathways
- Work performed at low and/or high elevations
- Work performed in confined areas
- Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site:
- Predominately outdoor climate
- May be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather
- Various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.
- Potential exposure to chemical substances
