JOB SUMMARYThe Service Coordinator has safety, customer satisfaction, and business responsibilities within branch operations.
This position shall incorporate the Fidelity Mechanical Services’ Vision and Business Strategy by providing "Proactive World Class Service" to the markets served, based on Profitability, Credibility, Employee Base Environment, Customer Service and Quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Based on backlog of planned work and personnel availability makes work schedules for Service Technicians and other field personnel to maximize use of skills while meeting customer needs and providing contingency time for emergency calls in a cost-effective manner.
- Provide logistical support to the Service Technicians and other field personnel to assure maximum flexibility in scheduling the work. Communicate resolution to the customer.
- Gather required service work order information to include but not limited to:
Customer information such as company name, contact name, address, and phone number;
Equipment/unit information;
Requested repair, complaint, and/or failure. Gather details such as operating conditions at the time the complaint/failure occurred - Review payroll on a daily basis and submit weekly
- Process service proposals/quotes in support of team operations as needed
- Provide administrative support to team members as needed
- Assist and support other team members when needed or in their absence
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and a high level of personal credibility and integrity with customers, management, and co-workers
- Maintain company confidentiality
- Attend and participate in all meetings, trainings, and activities as required
- Stay apprised of new techniques relevant to the work being performed; achieve and maintain technical competency
- This is an exempt position. Based on the needs of the company, you may work in excess of 40 hours a week.
- All other duties as required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel verbally and in writing.
- Must possess excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, E-mail and Internet.
- Working knowledge of basic computer software applications.
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent inter-company relations
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Professional telephone manners
The employee must be available 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Start times may vary depending on location. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or equivalent
