Position Overview Bowers is seeking a highly motivated Summer Construction Helper to support our construction crews on active job sites during peak summer operations. This role is responsible for providing general labor support while maintaining safe, clean, and organized work environments. The Summer Construction Helper will assist with basic, non-hazardous tasks and will be accountable for supporting daily site operations under direct supervision.
This position requires close coordination with crew members, supervisors, and site personnel to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Support crew members and site supervisors with daily tasks
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Assist with general site cleanup and organization
- Move, organize, and stage materials as directed
- Support crew members with basic manual labor tasks
- Work alongside different crew members to support overall site productivity
- Assist with maintaining workflow and organization across active job areas
- Follow all instructions provided by supervisors
- Report safety concerns or issues to site leadership
- Help maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and materials
- Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE at all times
Desired Skills and Experience
- Entry-level role; no prior construction experience required
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials
- Strong focus on safety, reliability, and accountability
Additional Notes
- Work is performed on outdoor construction job sites with exposure to weather, noise, and active work zones
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (hard hat, safety vest, etc.)
- This role is limited to non-hazardous tasks only and performed under direct supervision
- Tasks will be assigned in accordance with applicable labor and safety regulations
- This is a seasonal, temporary position (summer employment)
- Safety training will be provided prior to starting work
- Salary Range: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour
