Position DescriptionPCM Services is seeking a customer-facing Estimator to support exterior service projects including asphalt paving, concrete, pavement striping, building façade maintenance, and power washing. This role sits at the intersection of sales, operations, and customer experience—partnering closely with clients and internal teams to develop smart, constructible, and cost-effective solutions.
The Estimator is a trusted advisor to our customers, translating site challenges into clear scopes of work and building confidence through accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating across teams, problem-solving in the field, and building long‑term client relationships.
What You’ll Do:Client Engagement & Value Engineering
- Serve as a primary point of contact during the pre‑construction phase, working directly with customers to understand site conditions, priorities, and constraints.
- Consult with clients to design and value‑engineer scopes of work that solve real‑world site issues while balancing cost, quality, and long‑term performance.
- Build rapport and trust with clients through clear communication, responsiveness, and follow‑through.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for exterior services projects.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to fully define scope, materials, labor, and equipment.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and validate measurements through site walks when required.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, logistics, and constructability risks.
- Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and realistic bids.
- Prepare professional, timely bid proposals aligned with customer needs and deadlines.
- Partner closely with project managers, field leadership, and operations teams to ensure scopes are clearly defined and executable.
- Participate in project handoff and kickoff meetings to support a smooth transition from estimating to production.
- Identify risks, assumptions, and opportunities early to support successful project outcomes.
- Contribute ideas for improving estimating processes, production approaches, and customer experience.
- Stay curious and open to learning new services, technologies, and best practices across multiple trades.

- Estimates are accurate, clearly scoped, and align with how the work is actually performed.

- 2+ years of estimating or pre‑construction experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following: asphalt paving, concrete, pavement striping, masonry, garage coatings, or building façade maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience performing takeoffs and developing cost estimates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
