Position Description
PCM Services is a commercial contractor in Beltsville, MD, which performs work across the DC/Baltimore metro areas and is seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician/Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of electrical systems across various projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Inspect electrical systems, components, and parts to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustments or repairs.
- Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to complete installations and repairs.
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Follow local and national electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman license (Required)
- 2+ years of experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
