We are hiring a Hydrovac Truck Operator (also known as a Vacuum Excavation Operator) to support underground utility and utility replacement projects throughout the DMV region. This position involves operating a hydrovac truck to safely expose underground utilities using non-destructive hydro excavation methods. Ideal candidates have CDL Class A, a tanker endorsement, and experience working in utility construction or excavation environments.

• Operate a hydrovac truck for hydro excavation and vacuum excavation work
• Perform day lighting, potholing, trenching, and debris removal
• Safely excavate around underground utilities including water, sewer, gas, electric, and communications
• Conduct daily CDL pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Follow all OSHA, DOT, and utility safety regulations
• Maintain job logs, inspection reports, and basic documentation
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of hydrovac equipment
• Coordinate with utility crews, foremen, and project managers
• Travel daily to job sites across the DMV region (DC, MD, VA)

This is a full-time position in our Beltsville, MD location. Jobsites will be primarily in Northern VA, Montgomery County MD, & Prince George's County MD.

Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. typical shift with weekends, nights, and overtime as necessary.

Our services include but are not limited to: gas pipeline installation, pipe replacement, gas meter installation, milling and paving, construction management, corrosion control/cathodic protection, and horizontal directional drilling.

• CDL Class A license (required)
• Tanker endorsement (required)
• Air brake endorsement
• Hydrovac, vacuum excavation, or utility construction experience preferred
• Knowledge of underground utility locating and safe digging practices
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry over 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work on uneven terrain
• Ability to wear PPE (hard hat, vest, gloves, boots) for extended periods
