We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team. The Staffing Coordinator will play a crucial role in coordinating and maintaining the facility's staff schedules to ensure optimal care for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain staff schedules for all departments, including nursing, clinical, and support staff, while ensuring proper coverage at all times.
  • Coordinate with department managers to understand their staffing needs and preferences.
  • Respond efficiently to last‑minute staffing changes, such as sick calls or emergencies, by finding suitable replacements.
  • Ensure that the facility meets the required staffing ratios mandated by local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Liaise with the Director of Nursing and other department heads to keep them informed of staffing schedules and changes.
  • Facilitate communication between employees and management regarding scheduling issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure that all staffing‑related documentation, such as timecards and attendance records, are accurate and up‑to‑date.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with local, state, and federal regulations related to staffing and scheduling in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, union contracts (if applicable), and company policies related to scheduling and staffing.
  • Monitor employee attendance and punctuality, addressing any recurring issues promptly.
  • Generate reports on staff attendance, overtime, and other related metrics as required.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement to optimize scheduling efficiency.
  • Utilize scheduling software and other tools to create and maintain accurate schedules.
  • Train and support staff in using the scheduling software effectively.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in scheduling, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility setting, is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with employees and management professionally and empathetically.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and error‑free scheduling.
  • Ability to respond proactively and resourcefully to staffing challenges and unexpected changes.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements of the facility.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and other tools commonly used in workforce management.
