Safety Manager
Renaissance Historic Exteriors has maintained an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) well below the industry standard for construction. That record is a source of deep pride — and a direct reflection of the company's commitment to protecting its people. We're looking for a Safety Manager who shares that commitment and has the expertise to build on it. This is a leadership role.
You'll oversee safety operations across multiple active job sites in Illinois and Missouri, manage compliance with OSHA and state-specific regulations, and build a safety culture that is genuine — not just documented. Our people work at heights, with complex materials, on historic structures. Their safety is non-negotiable.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide safety programs and policies.
- Conduct regular job site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits across active Midwest projects.
- Lead thorough incident investigations and implement meaningful corrective actions.
- Deliver safety onboarding and ongoing training for all field personnel.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and all applicable Illinois and Missouri labor and safety laws.
- Manage workers' compensation cases and coordinate return-to-work programs.
- Maintain complete, accurate safety records and regulatory documentation.
- Collaborate with leadership and field teams to make safety a competitive advantage, not just a checkbox.
What you bring:
- 3+ years of safety management experience — construction or industrial/manufacturing preferred.
- Deep working knowledge of OSHA standards (30-hour or better) and multi-state compliance requirements.
- Preferred: CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) certification.
- Ability to travel between Illinois and Missouri job sites on a regular basis.
- A presence and communication style that earns trust in the field, not just in the office.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
Compensation & benefits:
- $75,000–$85,000/yr based on experience and credentials.
- Health, Dental & Vision Insurance.
- Paid Time Off and Holidays.
- Professional development support and certification sponsorship.
- Direct integration with company leadership — your recommendations are heard and acted upon.
