First Impressions Team – Job Description

Meyer’s is seeking a Front‑Desk / Guest Relations professional to serve as the first point of contact for guests visiting our farm.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Greet and engage new and existing guests, providing a welcoming experience for tours, reservations, and information requests.
  • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and in person, showing empathy and guiding them to services that best fit their pet’s needs.
  • Make outgoing calls and send emails throughout the day to promote farm offerings and soft‑sell services.
  • Document guest interactions, collect feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Offer guidance and support to potential clients who have not yet used the farm and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and work flexibility, including weekend hours as needed.
Qualifications

Experience & Skills

  • At least 3 years of customer service experience.
  • At least 3 years of retail sales experience.
  • Experience handling sensitive situations and creating outstanding customer experiences.
  • Proficient with MS Office and comfortable multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
Location

Meyer’s Tails Up Farm, 18 acres in Belvidere, Illinois, approximately 3 miles east of Cherry Vale Mall with easy I‑90 access. The role reports to the Office and Hospitality Leader.
