Skills:
High School diploma or equivalentProficient in district management systems, including eSchoolExperience with Google Apps for Education and ExcelAbility to work well with public and staffAbility to multitaskGood computer skillsGood organizational skillsMust be able to handle all confidential information in a discreet mannerSpanish language skills are not required, but welcomeTerms of Employment:
Twelve Months Basic Function:
Completes all tasks associated with supporting families to complete the registration process in direct support of the District Registrar. Communicates with families, sending/receiving schools, and special programming services when a new student enters the district. Maintains accurate records and program placement information in school information systems.
Performance Responsibilities:
Develops a positive, welcoming and caring climate in the officeAssembles and maintains building records and reports.Works with students and parents to address their needs and resolve concerns.Meets with families who are new to the district to complete enrollment.Handles telephone communication, takes messages, and routes calls to appropriate partiesAssists with the registration of students and/or transfers to other schools and districts.Collecting and creating student records, maintaining an effective filing systemNotify district homeless liaison of any possible homeless students.Contacts and coordinates with new families to complete their enrollment in the district.Reviews and finalizes registration documentation.Processes address changes for district families.Attends and participates in summer registration events.Notify district residency auditor of any questions regarding residence within a district or attendance area.Records legal documents for students into eSchoolPerforms such other duties as assigned.Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Board and the Belvidere Association for School Support personnel (BASS).
