Operations Manager, Asset Protection - DC​/FC

Position Summary

As a key team member in Walmart’s Supply Chain, you will drive data‑driven decision‑making and operational excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for asset protection strategies and compliance, ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and products throughout the supply chain network, including oversight of automation systems and robotics. You will champion automation safety and compliance initiatives to support a safe, efficient, and compliant automated environment.

• Leverage Data and Technology:
  Identify problems, determine root causes using data, develop and implement technology changes, and create dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders and leadership.
• Drive Business Solutions:
  Provide recommendations to solve complex business issues, develop business cases with projected ROI or cost savings, align business requirements to overall strategy, and recommend new processes.
• Ensure Environmental Compliance:
  Support regulatory visits, prepare audit reports, implement environmental policies, ensure compliance with legislation, and integrate environmental considerations into process design.
• Maintain Operational Excellence:
  Explain key operational functions and their relevance to the enterprise strategy, identify and document SOPs and OBW processes, and recommend improvements to existing operational processes.
• Enhance Asset Protection:
  Conduct investigations, recognize security breaches and thefts, implement and monitor access control and emergency services, generate and analyze loss and shrinkage reports, and develop prevention practices.
• Champion Automation Safety & Compliance:
  • Oversee safety protocols and compliance for automated systems, robotics, and material handling equipment.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of automation processes to ensure adherence to OSHA, ANSI, and Walmart safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement safety controls and corrective actions for automation‑related incidents.
  • Lead training and awareness programs for associates on automation safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and emergency response procedures related to automated equipment.
  • Monitor and report on automation safety metrics, incident trends, and compliance status to leadership.
• Collaborate and Communicate Effectively:
  Engage with team members and stakeholders, establish credibility, present complex information clearly to various audiences, and assemble and prepare structured reports and materials based on relevant data.
• Influence and Feedback:
  Influence team members and leaders to act based on sound recommendations, seek and provide constructive feedback, anticipate needs/questions, and respond appropriately.
• Ensure Employee Health and Safety:
  Coordinate with emergency responders, evaluate facility environments against OSHA guidelines, improve health and safety processes, enforce compliance with OSHA standards, design emergency evacuation plans, and educate employees on health and safety hazards.
• Drive Process Improvement:
  Define critical workflows, identify process problems, focus on significant issues to maximize efficiency, implement methods for process improvement, and coach team members to develop process improvement skills.

• Data Collection & Analysis:
  Skilled in data gathering, problem identification, and root cause analysis.
• Data Visualization & Governance:
  Proficient in dashboard creation, data visualization, and ensuring data quality.
• Operational Excellence:
  Experienced in process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Asset Protection:
  Knowledgeable in asset protection, investigations, and security best practices.
• Automation Safety & Compliance:
  Experience with automation safety standards (OSHA, ANSI, etc.), risk assessments, and compliance in automated environments.
• Collaborative Communication:
  Effective communicator with strong presentation and feedback skills.
