LTL Shipping Associate

A LTL Shipping Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely fulfillment of picking and pulling product from the warehouse shelves, sorting items, and ensuring all products on the order request are ready to be packaged. The associate must verify that all products are free from damage, correctly counted, and packaged for order shipment.

• Verify the quantity and product being picked and packed is accurate
• Use RF handheld barcode scanner to process product while picking and packaging
• Sort, consolidate and drop off products to assigned packing stations for packaging
• Pack product to maximize box space to reduce shipping costs while maintaining packaging integrity
• Mark and label finished packages correctly to ensure customer orders are free of potential shipping error
• Ensure quality control standards and practices are occurring (recording errors, inspect parts for damage, correct shortages, wrong parts and using QC forms)
• Meet and exceed daily productivity and quality standards
• Record daily productivity on Progress Control Boards per Lean Philosophy
• Operate an order picker, standup reach truck and fork truck to pick product from various storage racking
• Help maintain cleanliness and 5S standards at packing stations
• Be cross‑trained in other areas in the warehouse as needed
• Perform within the Company Safety Program and Policies

• Previous experience with a barcode scanning system/handheld preferred
• Forklift certification preferred (order picker, reach truck); must be able to pass the forklift certification test
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and meet safe lifting requirements
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift multiple pounds regularly
• Learn Lean Philosophy to participate in continuous improvement and process enhancement

• Self‑starter, motivated and able to work independently within the established perimeters
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Basic computer and math skills
• Team‑player; works well with others
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Base pay range: $18 – $22 per hour
• Actual pay determined by experience, skills, qualifications and work location
