Job Description
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in supporting operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment. This position focuses on minimizing manufacturing machine downtime through corrective and preventive maintenance. This is a 3rd shift position.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment.
Install, maintain, and repair facility-related equipment, including access control systems, fire alarm systems, and gas generator systems.
Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on various types of equipment.
Safely troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs.
Operate and maintain machine shop equipment, hand tools, measuring, and diagnostic equipment.
Document completed repairs.
Fabricate, rebuild, design, and install machine parts.
Handle mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including piping.
Maintain compressed air and drying equipment.
Install and troubleshoot electrical motors and controls.
Construct electrical control panels from various schematics.
Implement ways to reduce costs, increase productivity, and eliminate waste.
Identify, requisition, and track supplies required to complete assignments.
Follow safe working practices and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Electrical troubleshooting and repair.
Preventive maintenance and repair.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience with machine shop equipment, including welding, mills, lathes, metal saws, and surface grinders.
Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or relevant experience.
1-2 years of prior maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to use and understand various precision measuring tools.
Ability to rebuild equipment to OEM specifications.
Forklift certification capability.
Ability to work independently and stay on assigned tasks.
Proficiency in entering required information into a computerized tracking system.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Belvidere, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
