Position Overview

Now Hiring Part Time School Bus Monitor/Crossing Guard for Belvidere, IL.

• Monitor school bus during a split shift featuring an early morning before‑school pickup and an after‑school drop‑off with free hours in between.
• Ensure the safety of students during boarding and de‑boarding.
• Assist students in navigating the bus and wait areas.

• No prior experience as a school bus monitor required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
• Preferred: individuals without a college degree or high school diploma, military experience, returning to the workforce, retirees, or those seeking a second job.
• Strong interest in working with students and a part‑time schedule.

• Hourly wage: $16.50–$20.00 based on experience.
• $500 sign‑on bonus* (conditions apply; see locations for details; bonus offer expires 12/31/25).
