Heavy Equipment Operator, Construction Labor / Trades
- Demonstrate competent operations of equipment
- Perform tasks such as loading material, grading, excavating and leveling materials per specifications
- Perform precise excavating and grading work
- Ability to understand plans and grade stakes to complete tasks per specification
- Works well with others
- Set the pace expected by Foreman
- Safety oriented
- Daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Commercial driver’s license preferred (not required)
- Proficient operation of heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, graders, loaders, skid steers, off-road trucks, packers and scrapers
- Basic math skills
- Excavating and grading using GPS and lasers
- Ability to follow procedures and strong attention to detail
- Ability to make decisions and problem solve
- Accept responsibility for actions
- Time management
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities and individuals
- Communicate with Superintendent and co-workers
- Be dependable and trustworthy
- Able to work in Minnesota and North Dakota
- Pass pre-employment drug test
