Working under the general direction of the Building Official, this position serves as a trusted subject-matter expert—guiding consistent code interpretation, supporting department workflows, and acting as a valued resource to colleagues, contractors, and the public. While not directly supervising staff, the role provides technical leadership and clear work direction within the Building Department.
Responsibilities- Provide hands-on building inspection work combined with technical leadership within the Building Department.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert to guide consistent code interpretation and support department workflows.
- Act as a resource to colleagues, contractors, and the public.
