• Teaching assigned Automotive and related program/courses in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
• Performing technical work within the college setting, assisting learners, and advising students within the program.
• Participating in college governance, committees and task forces.
• Maintaining necessary attendance, scholastic and student records, and submitting records according to institutional guidelines and ASE requirements.
• Participating in professional development, hosting advisory board meetings, student and other educational activities in accordance with college policy.
• Contributing to a program of scholarship within the discipline, student advising, service to the College and community, and other associated faculty duties.
• Collaborating with college lab assistant.

• Education Required:
  
  Post‑secondary diploma or equivalent certificate in automotive services technology.
• Occupational
  
  Experience:
  
  Four full‑time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in automotive service technology.
• Recency:
  One year of this work experience within the five years immediately preceding the application date. Waivable if at least two years of successful full‑time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
• Professional:
  Current ASE certification in the areas in which the faculty member teaches.

• Strong working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.
• 5+ years experience in automotive.
• Demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti‑racism.

• All applicants must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States at the time of an offer of employment.
• H1‑B sponsorship is not offered.
• Official transcripts must be provided to Human Resources upon hire.
• Employment is covered by the collective bargaining agreement for Minnesota State College Faculty.
