Audio/Production Visual Technician

DEPARTMENT:

FLSA STATUS:
Hourly (Event based) 5-20 hours weekly

Compensation: $15.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Set up, operate, and strike audio, video, lighting, and presentation equipment for live events, meetings, and productions

* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audiovisual systems before and during events to ensure seamless execution

* Coordinate with clients, event staff, and vendors to understand production requirements and deliver high-quality event support

* Conduct routine maintenance, testing, and inventory management of audiovisual equipment to ensure operational readiness

* Assist with event load-in/load-out activities, including equipment transportation, cabling, staging, and system configuration.

Education and/or Experience

* Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

* 3 to 5 years of experience working in a live performing arts venue/center/theater.

* Technical degree or certification preferred.

Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge and experience working with stagehand personnel.

* Knowledge of operations, maintenance, and facility management.

* Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, state, and other work environment safety regulations.

* Working knowledge of fire and public safety issues.
