Overview

The Senior Accountant performs complex accounting functions, leads monthly financial close processes, daily treasury/cash management and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. Collaborates with upper management and key business partners in analyzing financial data, measuring KPIs, preparing budgets, and reconciling key accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Review:
    Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports to increase accuracy, identify trends and develop insights for the business.
  • Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and cash to ensure proper cash flow management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline and improve financial reporting and financial acumen across the business.
  • Operational Duties:
    Daily cash management
  • Weekly CH Robinson invoice processing
  • Manual daily JE transactions
  • 3rd party SaaS administration (Visa Spend Clarity, Zoho, State Revenue sites)
  • Month End Close:
    Manage and execute close processes which include financial analysis, journal entries, account reconciliations, and communication of results with business partners.
  • Identify risk & opportunities within general ledger balance sheet accounts
  • Control Environment, Audit and Compliance:
    Identify gaps, establish, and maintain internal controls
  • Coordinate audit and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Key Business partner:
    Maintaining relationships with key suppliers, customers (internal and external), Sales, IT, HR, Engineering, production, etc.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and cost analysis
  • Assist with or lead the annual budget process, develop financial projections, and provide analysis on variances.
  • Continuous Improvement - Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of financials
  • Ad Hoc Projects:
    Conduct various special accounting projects assigned
Key Skills And Competencies
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and analytical skills required.
  • Must be able to work under pressure, be trustworthy and discrete.
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • System

    Experience:

    MS office suite, ADP Payroll System, Oracle (EBS R12), Power

    BI, and Wands
Working Conditions/Other
  • Work Hours/Status: 40 hrs wk
  • Travel Requirements:
  • Environment:
    Visual concentration on monitors, paperwork. Extensive keyboard usage. Sitting, free to move around. The job works in a normal office environment with no undue exposure to noise, odors, dust, drafts, etc.
