** SUMMARY The Support Specialist is responsible for processing incoming support requests related to compliance education and training as well as providing training and communications to retailers on compliance related processes and requirements. Requests need to be handled in timely manner to ensure every request is processed according to rFinance’s service level agreements (SLA). The work also includes following up with the appropriate team to ensure the requestor receives proper updates and the requests are closed out according rFinance’s process and procedures as well as SLA.
To do this, the Support Specialist will leverage rFinance’s systems to determine the situation and communicate by chat, email, text and/or phone with the retailer.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with the Compliance team to understand regulatory expectations and translate them into clear operational processes and guidance. Document procedures, develop training materials, and maintain resources that support compliance performance across consumer finance operations. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and directional support to internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent compliance alignment. Independently manage small projects, monitor progress, and ensure timely and accurate completion of compliance-related tasks.
Coordinate, schedule, and lead meetings with external partners to communicate compliance requirements, review performance, and address gaps. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process efficiencies and contributing to compliance risk mitigation strategies. Serve as a liaison between operational teams and Compliance to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely issue resolution.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 4–6 years of experience in customer service, financial services, or related operational support roles with exposure to compliance practices. High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or professional background in finance, compliance, or business is preferred. Strong computer proficiency, including advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and proactively manage tasks and priorities.
Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow structured processes accurately. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and build strong working relationships. Prior experience in banking, finance, or compliance environments is highly preferred. Ability to facilitate training, provide clear guidance, and support both internal and external partners on compliance requirements.
COMPENSATION Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
