Primary Responsibilities & Attitude

As a Corporate Actions Senior Associate, you will have a strong relationship with all our offices. You are someone they can count on to be available when they need you and you take pride in paying attention to detail and completing tasks efficiently. You’re excited about being part of a fast‑paced, growing company.

You are responsible to:

  • Review, batch and process incoming corporate action transactions and transfer requests including reviewing for transferability, recording receipt, or auditing as demand requires
  • Delegate the day‑to‑day processing duties as it relates to incoming corporate action transactions and transfer processing to the Associate(s)
  • Manage day‑to‑day interactions with shareholders, brokerage firms, and financial institutions with a focus on efficient service and clear communication
  • Complete general administrative duties such as banking, mail distribution, and outgoing deliveries
  • Research, process, and/or respond to internal and external escalation requests
  • Communicate and coordinate service and operational activities amongst the corporate actions team, and amongst other teams within Odyssey
  • Maintain a strong focus on retention and growth by delivering exceptional service

Skills and Experience

  • Have exceptional attention to detail, communication and organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi‑task
  • Have a solutions‑based attitude, answering inquiries with “yes, I can do that for you” or “let me find a way to make this happen”
  • Take pride in their work
  • Enjoy working with a small, close‑knit team in a fast‑paced environment
  • Completion of Canadian Securities and similar courses is preferred, but not essential
  • Have strong proficiency with Office 365, particularly in Excel, and other desktop applications
  • Preferably, have a good working knowledge of the securities industry and capital markets
