Job Overview
Join Burnsville Fire as a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic and make a meaningful impact serving a community that values teamwork, professionalism, and public safety. This role is for individuals already certified as both a Firefighter and Paramedic, including those new to the field or seeking a lateral move.
Responsibilities- Operate the 55‑member all‑hazards department from two stations and provide advanced life support transport.
- Respond to fire, rescue, and medical emergencies.
- Support prevention efforts, participate in training, and help maintain equipment and readiness.
- Work shifts scheduled on 12‑ or 24‑hour rotations.
- Valid driver’s license.
- IFSAC Firefighter II certification.
- Current National Registry Paramedic certification.
- Eligibility for Minnesota licensure.
- Completion of required NIMS and Hazardous Materials Operations training.
