Position Summary
Pharmacist in Charge – Lead the Walmart pharmacy team to deliver comprehensive patient care and community outreach. Manage pharmacy operations, staff, and compliance to enhance patient outcomes and community health.
What you’ll do- Provide comprehensive patient care by processing and dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and delivering programs in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations.
- Maintain effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signing, and optimal inventory levels.
- Model, enforce, and guide proper customer‑service approaches to resolve customer needs within company guidelines.
- Oversee and participate in community outreach programs, encouraging associates to serve as community members.
- Ensure compliance with company and legal policies and procedures, analyze reports, implement loss prevention and safety controls, and oversee safety and quality assurance reviews.
- Proficiency in engaging patients and healthcare providers.
- Expertise in analyzing data to improve pharmacy performance and patient outcomes.
- Competence in analyzing financial data to inform business decisions.
- Capability to manage a pharmacy, including staff and operational oversight.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or equivalent FPGEC (NABP).
- Pharmacy license (by job entry date).
- Completion of an ACPE‑accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored).
- U.S. pharmacy‑related experience.
