Pride health is seeking a qualified Registered Dietitian (RD) to provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy, nutrition care, and preventive counseling across an acute care setting in Bemidji, MN, 56601
.
. The dietitian will assess nutritional status, develop individualized nutrition care plans, implement evidence-based interventions, educate patients and healthcare teams, and monitor outcomes for patients across the lifespan.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical nutrition therapy and comprehensive nutrition care to patients of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, as assigned.
- Conduct thorough nutritional assessments and determine individualized nutrition needs.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on clinical condition, nutritional status, and identified risks.
- Recommend and implement appropriate nutrition therapies, including diet modifications, nutrition support, oral nutrition supplements, and provider order recommendations.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling related to disease management, medical conditions, health risks, and preventive care.
- Support patient self-management education and skills for individuals with chronic conditions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions and treatments using an evidence-based approach.
- Consider patients' cultural, ethnic, and religious beliefs when developing nutrition interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in the development and implementation of nutrition care protocols for the assigned area.
- Serve as a clinical resource and leader for the healthcare team regarding nutrition therapies.
- Monitor patient progress and evaluate outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions.
- Provide education regarding appropriate diets based on disease state, medical condition, and health risk.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EPIC electronic medical record.
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or a related field through an ACEND-accredited program
. - For individuals qualifying to take the registration examination after January 1, 2024, a master's degree is required under current ACEND/CDR eligibility requirements.
- Completion of clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of a postgraduate dietetic internship.
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Strong clinical nutrition assessment, counseling, and care-planning skills.
- Ability to work effectively with patients across diverse age groups and backgrounds.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Contract Length-13 Weeks with Possible extension
- Candidates within 60 miles of the facility will not be considered.

-Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; flexible scheduling options may be considered - Pay Rate
-$50.00-$60.00 Per Hour
Offered pay rate will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable healthcare credentials.
