Key Duties Include- Collecting and managing blood and specimen samples, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Accurately recording and documenting patient information.
- Following standard procedures, safety regulations, and asepsis techniques during phlebotomy.
- Communicating with patients, gathering health information, and answering questions regarding procedures.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Beneficial prior experience in a medical setting, with basic knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology.
- Preferred completion of a formal phlebotomy program and laboratory-related experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
