LPN - Rheumatology

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Sanford Health

Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician in a day shift (10 hours) setting. Ensures patient health, comfort, and safety while managing a variety of clinical and administrative responsibilities.

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
• Documents a thorough medical history for each patient.
• Contributes to patient assessment and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
• Counsels patients and family members, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans.
• Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing appropriate age and population‑specific standards.
• When applicable, performs patient scheduling, insurance and guarantor validation, and verification of demographic information.
• Coordinates provider schedules across multiple locations and manages daily scheduling adjustments.

• Graduated from a nursing program that leads to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate's degree in practical nursing preferred.
• Completed a pre‑licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience across the lifespan, or minimum of 400 hours of experience as an RN (or LPN) at another facility.
• Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state(s) of practice.

Salary range: $20.73 – $28.68 per hour. Sign‑on bonus up to $15,000 for eligible applicants.
