• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
• Coordinate care, conduct patient assessment and education, triage, and perform various nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and apply age- and population-specific standards as designated in the assigned clinical setting.
• Operate within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules in the state of practice and licensure.

• Graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Completed a pre‑licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the lifespan, or have a minimum of 400 hours of RN (or LPN) experience at another facility.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; for telephone practice, licensure required in states where patients reside.
• Certification may be required depending on specialty or service area.
