Certified Nursing Assistant; CNA - Human Services Technician; HST​/Part-Time Vacanci

Overview

The work you’ll do is more than just a job. The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs seeks part-time Human Services Technicians (HST) / Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join the MVH-Bemidji team. This posting will be used to fill multiple current and future part-time HST-CNA vacancies at the MVH-Bemidji. Vacancies may be on Day, Evening, or Night Shifts, with weekends as assigned.

The MVH-Bemidji aims to admit more residents to our home and provides compassionate, person-centered care in a long-term nursing facility.

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care for residents in a long-term nursing facility.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Ensure safety and quality of care and help residents attain their highest functional capabilities in an environment that promotes caring and respect.

• Currently registered as a Nursing Assistant with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Nursing Assistant Registry OR be registered by the time of hire.
• Able to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take clear notes.

• Current registration as a Nursing Assistant with the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry.
• Experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Experience providing activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Experience working in a long-term care environment.
• Current CPR and/or BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check may be conducted on finalists; the finalist must pass the DHS background check.
• Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening or chest x-ray prior to employment.
• Employment reference checks may be conducted, including review of prior job performance and contact with former employers.
