Registered Nurse (RN) – Minnesota Veterans Home-Bemidji (Part-Time, Night Shift)
Job DetailsLocation:
Bemidji, Minnesota
Shift: 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m., varying weekdays and weekends
Hours:
Approximately 64 hours per two‑week pay period, may include additional hours
Salary: $40.59 – $60.06 per hour + $2.75 shift differential for hours between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
- Deliver nursing care within the RN scope of practice per the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act and Veterans Administration regulations.
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes to provide resident‑centered care.
- Document care in electronic charting systems, specifically Point Click Care .
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and provide mentorship and feedback on nursing care.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) or CPR as required.
- Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions and in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or ability to obtain by hire.
- Effective communication skills to provide and follow instructions and teach residents.
- Proficient computer skills for electronic charting (Point Click Care ).
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long‑term or senior healthcare environment.
- Experience working with a Veteran population.
- Knowledge of nursing practices sufficient to provide effective care and make decisions within scope.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships.
- Experience with Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments.
- Successful completion of a Minnesota Department of Human Services background check for top finalists.
- Completed tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening or chest x‑ray prior to employment.
- Employment reference checks for all finalists.
