The labor and delivery nursing position is located in Bemidji, Minnesota. This role involves providing care to postpartum, antepartum, newborns, and gynecology patients, with occasional duties in medical-surgical overflow and neonatal intensive care units. The position requires a versatile nurse capable of floating between units and delivering high-quality maternal and neonatal care.

• Schedule:
  
  12-hour night shifts with every third weekend, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid Minnesota state registered nurse license or pending license, at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, active BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications; PALS preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records, circulating skills in labor and delivery.
• Float:
  Float rotation may be required, primarily assisting as a helping hand and occasionally managing a med-surg patient when needed.
• Additional Information:
  The unit cares for postpartum, antepartum, newborns, gynecology, and med-surg overflow. Typical census includes about 5 mother/baby couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 gynecology patient, 2 labor patients, and 4 patients in the Special Care Nursery. Staffing includes ward clerks, CNAs, charge nurses, resource nurses, and LPNs, with nurse-to-patient ratios aligned with AWHONN standards.
