Shift leader, Retail

Position Overview

The Shift Leader is responsible for overall leadership and direction of the store in partnership with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager, ensuring the team has a clear understanding of goals, expectations, products, cleanliness, new directives, and guest connections during the shift.

• Demonstrate mastery of the DOING of Team Member with ease, enthusiasm and excellence.
• Lead shifts focusing on team engagement and guest satisfaction with a commitment to Make Fun Happen.
• Think strategically about maximizing product sales and waste management.
• Take ownership of the store's look and feel, maintaining a "total store vision."
• Be knowledgeable about daily deployment assignments and roles.
• Leverage effective floor communication, anticipate and resolve team/guest needs.
• Delegate objectives and tasks effectively while balancing multiple priorities.
• Ensure SOP and quality standards are consistently adhered to by the team.
• Actively coach and provide feedback during the shift to promote personal best.
• Train team on role responsibilities, product knowledge and promotions.
• Execute administrative tasks, including bank deposits, inventory, store product ordering.
• Develop team members' career and professional growth through ongoing conversations.
• Bring Core Values to life in all actions.
• Show resilience under pressure and maintain calm in critical moments.
• Engage as a community member and create inclusive, inspiring culture.

• At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail or customer service experience, or approved as a Shift Leader by Caribou Coffee.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, holidays, and/or weekends.
• Minimum age 18.
• Preferred:
  High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to hear, speak, see, bend, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, stand 4–8 hours, and perform tasks with or without reasonable accommodations.

Location:

100 Paul Bunyan Dr NW, Bemidji, MN 56601.
Compensation Range: $12.75 – $21.25 per hour (subject to local and state minimum wage regulations).
