Summary:At Bayer Built Woodworks, craftsmanship, relationships, and service excellence drive our mission. As a Field Sales Representative serving the Twin Cities/Metro territory, you’ll represent our industry-leading door systems, stair parts, millwork, and architectural components to dealer partners, builders, and other customers. This position is pivotal to building and sustaining customer loyalty, driving regional sales growth, and resolving product or service concerns in the field.
You’ll serve as both a brand ambassador and problem‑solver—educating customers, addressing technical inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction with every Bayer Built interaction. Note: Candidates must reside within the sales territory or be willing to relocate.
- Conducting in-person and virtual sales calls with direct and indirect customers including dealers, builders, and architects.
- Promoting Bayer Built’s full range of products and services using presentations, samples, and sales tools.
- Supporting dealer accounts with tools to grow their business—quoting support, selling strategies, co-branded materials, etc.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to build brand loyalty and expand business opportunities.
- Educating customers on new products, product specifications, and our electronic quoting/ordering platforms.
- Assisting with blueprint take-offs, product recommendations, and field specifications to ensure the right fit and function.
- Investigating and resolving product concerns or installation issues with a professional, solutions-focused approach.
- Conducting field inspections and escalating technical feedback to internal teams for improvement or resolution.
- Collaborating with internal departments to share customer insights and contribute to product and service enhancements.
- Meeting or exceeding sales targets for your assigned territory by growing existing accounts and prospecting new business.
- Maintaining thorough documentation of activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in Bayer Built’s CRM system.
- Identifying market trends, customer pain points, and competitive activity within the Twin Cities/Metro (Minnesota) market.
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally within the building materials, millwork, or construction industries.
- Working knowledge of building practices, construction terminology, and commercial project workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, door schedules, and construction documents.
- Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-directed, organized, and able to prioritize effectively across multiple accounts.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Twin Cities/Metro area; overnight travel may be required.

Pay:
Base + commission totaling between $125K/year and $175K/year
Hours:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; 50% - 70% travel
