BI-CAP Supportive Housing Specialist-Bemidji

A day in the life:
- You will assist eligible clients with severe mental illness with obtaining and maintaining adequate housing by providing supportive services.
- You will identify client needs and services to meet those needs.
- You will:
- Manage services related to accessing and obtaining housing.
- Orient clients to housing programs and referral options, support services, and housing options.
- Serve as a liaison between landlord, tenant, service providers and the community related to housing needs.
- Complete and submit required reports.
- Assist with grant writing and grant proposal submission.
- Provide individualized supportive housing services for clients.
- Communicate courteously and professionally and maintain working relationships with others in carrying out job functions.
- Attend and represent the program and agency in a responsible, professional manner at all meetings.
- You’ll need an Associate’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related Human Service field.
- A Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in a human service organization is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license or other evidence of mobility is required.
- You must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP’s values of collaboration, innovation and compassion for those we serve.
Applicants must pass a Background Study.
- Familiarity with impoverished and/or unhoused populations, computer knowledge, record keeping and/or client intake is preferred.

Weekdays between 8 a.m.
